07/05 - Episode 2.06 - In Escrow [Airing August 29]: George takes the soul of a
hockey coach who was really hard on Andy, one of the players, because he saw real potential in him. Daisy steals a cross and
asks Father Matthias for penance instead of giving it back. At Happy Time, George interviews and has a hard time choosing
between three applicants for a pharmaceutical company who all try to bribe her or appeal to her emotionally: Michael who has
Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Anton who is an immigrant who will lose his work if he doesn’t get the job; and Margaret who
is a middle-aged woman who’s been out of work for 10 years taking care of her aging parents. Mason must take the soul
of Gideon, a middle-aged former British rocker of whom he is a huge fan. Even though she is still in escrow for her old house,
Joy buys a loft downtown. Reggie, Rube and Roxy also appear in this episode.
07/05 - Episode 2.07 - Rites of Passage [Airing September 5]: The episode opens with George
sitting in her car gazing up at the starts with the soul of a boy she just took who died from an overdose of crack. Joy’s
eccentric mother Phyllis comes to live with them and drives Joy crazy. Dolores thinks George is a lesbian when she sees Misty
at George’s cubicle with her shirt half open. George sneaks into the set of MTV to take the soul of Kyle Lowerdeck,
a young talented rock star who gets shot by his distressed manager, Jeannie. After several failed attempts, Mason also manages
to get in when a Goth girl smells death all over him. After he gets drunk, he reveals to them he is a grim reaper. Daisy goes
back to the church to find two teenagers making at in the confession and Father Matthias drunk in his office with a knife.
07/05 - Episode 2.08 - The Escape Artist [Airing September 12]: Rube and Daisy substitute
for a third-grade teacher at Reggie's school in order to take the janitor's soul. Francis Bischetti, a nerd at Reggie's school
brings his pet Komodo dragon named Frodo as a visual aid for his report to the third-graders and asks Reggie to be his assistant.
During his report, the Komodo dragon gets away. The janitor comes to the rescue killing the dragon but not before it spits
at him and kills him too. As Rube takes his soul, he sees Charlie taking the dragon's soul. Reggie follows Charlie when he
leaves the school and she seems to know he is dead. Phyllis is still living with Joy and driving her crazy. While at the Montgomery
Country Club waiting to take J. Hesburgh's soul, George spends some time with Trip, an obituary writer for a newspaper, and
begins to like him when she finds out he is J. Hesburgh. Mason and Roxy board a plane to Cancun in order to take the souls
of a stewardess named Missy and a man named Bobby on his honeymoon.
07/19 - Episode 2.09 - Be Still My Heart [Airing September 19]: Reggie's class assignment
is to make a model of the heart. Francis (the kid with the Komodo dragon from the previous episode) brings in a real heart
inside a jar while Reggie tells her teacher that her dog ate hers. Reggie cons Joy into making her model for her. Dolores
makes all employees attend CPR training after an employee named Stan "dies" of a heart attack during a "drill". Daisy tells
Roxy she can sense George is in love. Daisy wears a housekeeping uniform with the name tag Latanya, takes the soul of Tessa,
Frank's mistress, and then watches as her lover kills her. While crashing Trip's father's funeral with George, Mason steals
a diamond necklace off a dog and tells his sister Ashley that George is Trip's girlfriend. George goes to a gay wedding.
08/02 - Episode 2.10 - Death Defying [Airing September 26]:
Joy gets her groceries delivered by a hot guy named Vince. She has a date (perhaps with Vince) and tells Reggie not to tell
her father. George loses it when she takes the soul of thrill-seeker Icarus who jumped off the roof of a garage and the fact
that he is finally dead doesn't even faze him. Buddy is about to arm wrestle a huge guy and asks Daisy what he'll get if he
wins. She ripples him as she whispers something in his ear that makes him grin. After he wins, he burns to death when six
flaming shots of alcohol land on him. George lands in jail for disturbing the peace and calls Dolores to bail her out. Rube
searches through public records for his daughter.
Episode 2.11 - Ashes to Ashes [Airing October 3]: George reaps Robert Simms, a homeless man
now known as Montana. Not wanting him to go down as another John Doe, she writes his name on a Post-it and places it in his
jacket pocket which another homeless man soon steals. George and Mason track down his corpse pretending to be his relatives
who hunt George for the rest of the episode. Reggie refuses to smile for her class picture. A goth girl named Raven, formerly
known as Sandy Simmons, comes to her rescue and later gives Reggie a makeover and a new name, Spider. To Reggie's surprise,
Joy doesn't freak out; she is just pleased that Reggie has friends until she joins them in a goth party that goes too far.
Daisy helps Ray (from the previous episode) record a married man cheating.
Episode 2.12 - Forget Me Not [Airing October 10]: George and Mason attend a spelling bee.
Francis is one of the finalists. Mason ripples the announcer before he is struck my a dictionary in the face from the angry
father of the losing kid. Rube and George go to the long-term care ward at a hospital where George meets Maya, a fellow reaper
assigned to the natural causes division. George takes the soul of Nina who has Alzheimer's and doesn't know she is dead while
Rube asks Maya for information on a patient.
